He Waits
My dog came with my wife when I met her years ago. I was never an animal lover and didn't have pets as a child, unless you count the random tiny fish or short lived Hermit Crab. It was a challenge I willingly accepted and gradually our relationship grew from toleration through acceptance and finally into love. That being said the kind of devotion Jager feels for me is a shadow of the emotion he displays for my wife. The joy in his tail when she talks to him and the longing in his eyes when she's not at home is genuine and adoring. Here he lays, patiently waiting for his mommy to come home. He waits...
Travel Days
For me, travel days are the days between. Between games, between races, between work, between the past event and the next possibility. They exist to restore life to the weary, or give inspiration to the prepared. These days between provide barriers for experiences, compartmentalizing life into locations instead of time.
Flyers in the Playoffs
For me, the Flyers making it to the playoffs meant some pressure and even more excitement. By the time the series came to Philadelphia the Flyers were down 0-2 and they would loose the first home game is what could almost be called disgrace. The Flyers would loose 1-6 and the fans behaved horribly. The free light up bracelets that the fans had been given for the pre-game laser extravaganza ended up being thrown onto the ice during the third period trumpeting the displeasure of the fans with the team, the referees, and even the penalty that this behavior incurred oh the Flyers. I know Philadelphia has a reputation for its fans, and that night, that reputation grew even more.
Game #4 gave the Flyers one last chance to shine and to prove to the hockey world that there arrival in the post season was no fluke, but a well deserved honor. A new goalie took the reigns and the Orange and Black colors flew triumphantly in Philadelphia that night. It was good to be a Flyers fan again. Here's a few of my favorite pictures that I took those evenings.

NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway
A few weekend s ago I had the opportunity to work at the Richmond International Raceway when NASCAR was there for its Spring race of 2016. Races are usually scheduled (at least for as long as I remember) for evening time for this venue but this time out the Sun was shinning. Well, not the first day with many events cancelled or postponed due to rain. I don't want to take responsibility for the weather, but it seams whenever I'm in Richmond, at least one day gets washed away. I should mention also that all images in this post are ©2016 by Action Sports Photography.
So here's a few of my favorite images that I took during the weekend.
