I was assigned some college football action this weekend, so I got to watch as the Houston Cougars dismantled the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a bone crushing 49-14 victory at High Point Solutions Stadium, Piscataway, NJ. This Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph an amazing football game while working for Independence Sports Magazine. The event was at Highpoint Stadium in New Jersey and it was a blast! In a nutshell the Scarlet Knights charged to victory with a come from behind win against the Razorbacks 28-24. Rutgers was down 24-7 and then dominated the second half of play.
One funny thing while I was at the game: When Rutgers scores, there is a canon that is fired in the stadium. I was unaware of the tradition and when it first happened I was about 20 yards away from it. The roar almost knocked me over! I took a picture of the ritual later in the game. Cheyney vs. Shippensburg
Last Saturday afternoon I was granted the privilege of photographing the Wolves taking on the Red Raiders at Shippensburg. The home team displayed the skill of their undefeated record and kept the Wolves at bay, winning by a strong 61-9. Cheyney fought with heart through the battle and never gave up the fight, but the Shippensburg offence was too nimble with their lightning fast preparations between downs. It was a cold day for the fans reminding everyone that November is here and hot blooded football fans still attend the games.
