Winter in the Northeast engulfs the country in dead trees, stagnant landscapes and sometimes weeks of graying snow. Last weekend I thought I would hunt for some color amongst the bland seasonal palette. A few feathered friends showed up at a local stream with an idea right on the top of their heads.
