The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International

Last weekend I got to photograph cars that look very different from the type I usually shoot. I was asked to help cover the IMSA ( International Motor Sports Association) endurance race at Watkins Glen International. Watkins Glen is a road course, so imagine yourself driving down a twisty country road in a fantastically fast car with no stop signs, police, wildlife, or potholes. It's a thrill. Having the opportunity to snap some pictures during the weekend was great. One of the best things that happened was that during half of the weekend it rained, but that didn't stop these road warriors. Water everywhere only added to the skill and daring of man and machine. Here's the link to some of my favorite pictures from the weekend: IMSA at Watkins Glen International I was there covering the event for Action Sports Photography and one of the sponsors, Continental Tires. #tiresrule #ForWhatYouDo

MLB Baltimore Orioles at Philadelphia Phillies

Major League Baseball is always fun to photography, and seeing two somewhat local teams play always fills up Citizens Bank Park with fans. The night before the Oriole gave quite a whoopin' to the Phillies as they spanked them 19-3 in Baltimore. I was hopefull for a better outcome for the game this evening. As it turned out the Phillies remained competative into the bottom of the ninth, but failed to capitalize with the tying run at the plate. NASCAR at Michigan International Speedway

Thi was my first time visiting Michigan International Speedway so I didn't know what to expect.  I find some of the big NASCAR tracks a little intimidating because of the scale of covering an event.  A two mile racetrack can take a long time to walk around.  The weather played a huge factor in the main event on Sunday bringing the Quicken Loans 400 to an end prematurely.  Kurt Busch (driver of the #41 Haas Automation Chevrolet) was the beneficiary of the early conclusion and this marked his second win of the season. His brother Kyle Busch (driver of the #54 Monster Energy Toyota) won the Xfinity series race, the Great Clips 250, on Saturday.  This was his first race in the Xfinity series since his crash back in February at Daytona International Speedway .

June 2015 Desktop Calendar

Your desktop for June 2015 has finally arrived. This picture was taken back in 2012 on our trip to Ireland. Heidi and I were driving to Cork to see the Waterford museum and factory and we came across some beautiful vistas so taking some pictures became mandatory.
